My partners and me run a shopping comparison site, and it's on the startup stage. Currently, we face very serious challenge about how to get beautiful traffic.(a little ironically, we plan to bring traffic to our customers) We tried SEO, SEM and forum marketing, but all not so good and these channels require long in large scale and beautiful marketing budget(in my vies, it I'm wrong, plz. correct). Well, unfortunately, my partners and me cant' carry out by large workforce and lots of marketing money. So, how to market the SCE properly and effectively? Your advices would be much appreciated. its a very Good idea to Make a comparison site. i think its like making a site which tells people the difference between the same product from different companies right? for marketing these type of sites you have to optimize a good Keyword. choose a keyword which is really searched by all. then Do search engine optimization for the keyword. i think Traffic from SE should be your main source of visitors.
Yes, @digitalwebman06, the site would be like what you mentioned. Actually, there are several good sites in the field such as nextag, shopping and shopzilla. We would like to focus on sellers from china, and mainly try our best to help people avoid scams. As a startup site, seems it's so hard to get traffic. Though my partners and me know SEO would be a good source, seems it will take a little longer period to work out. I don't know how long we would hold. Really annoying...
