Was there a sale on old DP accounts that I missed? Seems like tons of "old" members are popping up out of the woodwork after years of virtual dormancy and trying to use old accounts.
Everything works fine now I'd suggest adding the note that "It can take up to an hour for your new permissions to be active." to the FAQ page - it can't be found anywhere so thanks again for posting it.
It's always been there. People just choose to not read it. http://forums.digitalpoint.com/faq.php?faq=rules#faq_posting_guidelines
LOL...the font of that line could be made a bit bigger - no wonder it may be missed (at least I did...but not deliberately)
LOL. So distrusting, Brown. OK, same thing occurred to me, but a glance at the posts before and after the dormant period says its the same guy at the keyboard. People dumb enough to buy free accounts are seldom alert enough to pick up on small posting idiosyncrasies and faithfully repeat them.
It doesn't make you trustworthy, but there's a good chance having 25 posts AND being a member for 2 weeks makes you *not* a drive-by spammer.
I admit I didn't bother to read his posts and was not accusing this guy, but I am pretty sure a lot of guys are falling back to old "back up" accounts or something. There are just too many to be coincidence, I read this section for the laughs watching people ask for a review of something and Shawn posts their 10 duplicate accounts or something similar. It is damn entertaining. --- So, just read this thread. A 2007 member on only his 11th post, trying to sell some spam shit.... hmm, I'm sure he is totally legit and just was on a world cruise for the last 3 years. http://forums.digitalpoint.com/showthread.php?t=2285043
