Google Adsense Ban Facts and Fictions

Recently ( What I mean Recently is for last four years) many a publisher have got nightmare Email from Google banning their accounts. There have been several forums and petitions in this direction. This has almost become the talk of the web and publishers especially the small publishers are loosing their faith on Google AdSense. So whats the Story Really?
To start with whether one loves to agree or hates to admit, it is true that AdSense is way ahead in comparison to its competitors in terms of quality, brand and advertisers. Every new entrant or start up considers AdSense as one of the best options to monetize their website initially. So Lets just not talk if adSense is Good or Bad or Efficient. It surely is good and it surely has given an opportunity to millions of people to earn from their websites.At the same time it has observed and followed a strict policy towards "Pornography", "Gambling" and other stuff that have negative effect on the society.
So whats the point? At a time when many a family are run from the income of AdSense, why there is such a Hue and Cry and Talks about Google Foul Play? Lets see if we can find an answer to this!
1) How a publisher goes about with AdSense?
Once a webmaster gets an AdSense account. He puts the Ad in his or Her websites. They allow three Ad units in your website. So 80% time it is placed randomly. As day progresses, the new AdSense account holder realizes that money making is not that easy, so he reads blogs, makes changes in the Ad layouts, places them at proper positions and also work on Link building by advertising his own website or blog in various forums, websites and communities. In the mean time the sites with real content, adds content to the site.
2) Second phase
Once the site starts picking the traffic which generally every site does if it can produce quality articles or products, CTR or "Click Through Rate" increases. More visitors never means more clicks but theory of probability says it increases. So one comes back daily and sometimes hourly to check his AdSense income. By this phase one definitely knows what is CPM or CPC. Most importantly one starts monitoring the statistic and realizes that few Ads give you high cost par click while others offer you pennies. So the CPC improvement is studied over.
3) Keyword Searching and Stuffing
On the course of improving their CPC, webmasters and administrators searches for Keywords that give them High CPC. All by now, knows that keywords related to "Yahoo Domain", " Term Insurance", "Lawyers" and so on gives or may give higher return. To add to their belief, there are several Blog writers who write "How to increase Revenue from AdSense". Now slowly the basic Idea of the site's content gets migrated towards such contents which drives more traffic and CPC. Sure the site owner/administrator/webmaster work on that and start publishing materials that contain highly competitive and interesting keyword.
4) Increase in Income and Payout Time
Everybody who is associated with any business for even few hours does know that it takes a while for any business to start making money. A Webmasters effort also start fetching them fruit by working on Traffic Building and CPC improvement. So the first paycheck of 100$ time arrives. It is surely a happy feeling as your hardwork has finally come to a stage where you will be rewarded. The game changes here!!!!!!!!

Now just stop reading for 30 seconds and think what we have discussed. You came back from your thoughts????? Did we discuss any unnatural ways of increasing our income through AdSense? Any black Hat SEO or any illegal ways? Did we talk about "Clicking our Own Ads?" God! No! Never! Even if somebody clicks his ads from various locations or IP addresses, it takes time. Gone are those days when No one knew what is a valid click! A simple thing. One could click an Advertisement after spending some half an hour in his own site. Then spend another 15 minutes to the site they have visited. May be subscribe to couple of news letters. Thats a valid click and no algorithm in the world can term that invalid and no way it can trigger any flag. No matter however Number of Rocket Scientists a technical team may have.( Heard that Google has hired quite a few Rocket Scientists!!). Human nature and behavior is No rocket Science and doesn't need any rocket scientists. Coming back to the subject matter. So one needs to spend nearly one hour for a click, especially if he is forging the click. one click equal to $.25 in most part of the world. Is it worth ? Gosh No. Even if somebody works for 15 hours, he can forge something like 10 clicks which is 3$. That is something that even in a third world country like India will lough over. A Daily wage of a construction labor in India is around 5$. Plus you can not do it everyday.

Do you think I am saying anything special? No. Everybody knows this. A webmaster who builds a site will definitely know this. So He wont forge. Trust me. site admins have so many issues that they never forge.
5) Deadly Email Arrives
So when you are ready to buy a beer with your first income the damm email is in your inbox and you just wonder "What the "Hell??" It just breaks the sky over your head. So one wonders "why me?" with all the ethical methods that I followed, why banning me? Now one searches in google for such Banning Stuff and finds that he is not alone. There are several hundreds and thousands like him who are shouting over the same issue. And the most common thing that is outcome of this is "Google Sucks". They are scoundrels, Google use the money to some offshore account and they are earning through this!!!!!!
6) Google Perspective
a) Google is accumulating Black Money.
It is Greedy: Google can say Ban 1000 accounts maximum in a payout circle? with average payout being 100$. that is roughly .1M$ . Now if you had continued, Google would have surely made more money than that in next couple of months. Its a common sense that one needs time to attract traffic in www. Why would a company like Google want to Slow down it's Own Income or growth? Think! Makes any sense? You can argue that they always get new publishers. But a new publisher is No profit for Google. Its not simple boys. To feed Ads to your website, their engine needs power, they need monitoring, analysis, graphic designers. So Google really does not make much out of serving a new website. So just forget that Google earns easy money.
b) They could have warned me!
Come on guys be realistic. Data Mining is a complex procedure. with so many accounts and publishers, is it possible to monitor your fine Grain details every minute? No. So the monitoring takes place when they are to give you the payout. And the anomaly is detected. Agreed, you did not click your ads, your relative also did not. You did not have any arrangements with click fraud groups. So what went wrong. Why they dont explain?? Let us say that Google explains you what went wrong. So it needs to every account Ban. Gather all the information and you know what all Google looks for Account Ban? So the click frauds are ready with more sophisticated bots and software to attack AdSense. Do you really want that? So explaining the Ban do not really help anybody. It is tough to digest but it is a reality friend.
c) Google Stink and f**d my Money
Here is what is inexplicable. If Google has to Ban somebody, surely he deserves his payout atleast. You know many a people rely on AdSense for their college fees, internship, extra income. So they work Hard. If one has to cheat Google, he will cheat Google big time. Why would one kill his income?? So in 99% cases the banned webmaster is not responsible directly for any misappropriation of the AdSense. So is is really not a human way to throw out your partner without acknowledging his efforts. Television commercials are much more costlier than Web Advertisement. Do viewers Buy the product from TV?? Heck no. Advertisements are for Brand building. Advertisers publish Ads so that people notice them. When the real sales executive visit somebody, the lead knows who he is speaking to. All these nonsenses of "How many clicks gets converted to sales" are real bang. What about the hours and hours of display those ads got in the publishers website? People do notice the Ads whether or not they click it. Why deny the publisher his money??
Google people if you are listening, it really is not the best thing to deny the money one has earned. He might have several expectations out of this. He might have planned a small gift for his Kid or a dress to his lover, it really is painful. Google is letting the algorithms and business ethics taking over Human Emotions and Sentiments. if you need to ban somebody, ban him. Pay him his check and say him thank you for being associated with you. Or a better choice is to warn him along with the check that his account is suspicious. Google surely loosing out a point or two by not doing the right thing here. If they could sustain the accounts that they banned, could possibly hinted them the areas they need to look into, they would have earned more money for the company. A ban is an Extreme step and in any burocracy there is something called suspension. Making a parner in AdSense is not difficult by you but continueing with the partners are. Got any algorithm on that??????
Remember you don't loose all your Hear suddenly. They go off one by one and when that happens, you must retrospect and change. Technology is improvable. Any day a new boy from Silicon Vally may come with a fresh Idea and "Phew" you know the story of IBM->Microsoft->Google->Facebook. It is at those juncture that the goodwill of a company makes it survive. That is why IBM survived all these Economic slowdown and stuff like that.
For those who are banned. Just take it positively. think that those 100 bucks motivated you to run the show at the initial stages and just move on. Your traffic has increased, so is your understanding of the web. You can utilize it better.
Well have we yet got our answer as to why the account was banned? Lets see if we can find out the answer.
a) What percentage of total time you dedicated to Link Building and Content updating? ( in most of the cases it is 70-30 or even 80-20)
b) Did you think that you can build such a site through which you can offer direct consultancy? Like improving and offering such services that actually helps people? Can they avil their services by paying you? In 95% cases the answer is No.
c) What alternative you planned for Revenue? In most cases the Answer is No.

Had written it long back in my site. Which is a pure technical one. I dont write separate blogs. Hence the article never reached to people, for whom it was Intended to. Just shared what my observations are without any vested interest of link building through this article. If the read give a good feeling to some of my stressed out webmaster friends, I am happy. And hey, I am no AdSense Guru. do play a lot with algorithms and analytic. My Site is not even three months old. Just learning it. And sharing it as I am learning ! Gurus are those who have learnt millions out of the policy. I am just loving the game.
