if i get 100k visitors a month how much could i make with adsense on average with a ctr of 1% I will be selling affiliate products as well so take that into consideration as well. Would 1k be unrealistic?

Traffic is worthless if it is untargeted, but targeted traffic converts well for adsense.

Untargeted means, traffic from all segments without from specific niche, for example, an article site.

Targeted means those which come from specific keyword which converts well for advertisers, for example, "buy cheap mobile phones"

Yep, it really depends. You can't count on making money from all of the visitors, but maybe you can get a ballpark estimate if you look at it similar to something like this:

100k visitors
5% click on at least one ad that pays .10

So, that would be 5,000 clicks x .10 = $500

That's just an example, play around with the numbers and see...
