    I think if you have big, update daily and popular on net, then alexa update this information daily, And if you have smaller one, then after a month.

    I check alexa rank every morning, and it's updated. So I would say around 24h is needed to update. At least for my website.

    they do change rank daily if u r a new website or if u have ranking less then 100k. i have also found installing alexa tool bar in 3 browsers firefox, chrome and ie helps. my website (pattayaonly.com) ranking came down from 20 mil to 1 mil just by me visiting the website daily (using from 3 browsers in 2 computer). my website is just 1 week old and has ranking of 1 mil today with traffic count of less then 10 from outside.

    Ranking has increased in huge way for this site www.your-life.com after submitting to few social bookmarkings. But other sites which i've submitted to same bookmarkings did not turn out to be lucky. Any suggestions?

    all kind of ranking checking software not disclose about their internal policies . so it is tough to say how often they upgrade their ranking. but i noticed that when my site get huge traffic alexa ranking ups. and when i not get traffic it downs

    I got the same case, the traffic of my website increases dramatically. Alexa need around 2 weeks to update my rank, but the result was not disappointed.

    My Website www.ucrush.net was around 700,000 last april... and now its at 10,000,000 ........ but it has more traffic than it did in april.

    Alexa doesnt make sense...

    For Alexa ranks there are no fixed time frame.. Alexa may update ranks even twice or trice a day.
