    Manual isn't better or worse but it is more time-consuming. I'd recommend http://www.sliqsubmitter.com for automatic directory submission.

    i didn't use the any software to boost our submission because Google notice our daily activities and still the submission through software is not a good approach to increase the ranking ... u will website will go into a spamming...

    I think you should hire someone for manual submission that is way better idea. I've heard Google also punishes auto submissions.

    Dripfeedblasts now has some article submission services built into it. Its pretty expensive but it does xrumer profile links, social bookmarking and now article submissions. I'm not going to post the URL in case I get accused of spamming. Just google dripfeedblasts.

    Google notice everything. Just think. If you use gmail, Google knows to who you send mails, from who you get mails. If you use analytics, knows everything about your web site(s). Then knows what you search, which pages you visit, from which Ip adress, how often, etc. With all those information they have, of course they can track each user activity.

    Xrumer, Scrapebox and SEnukex are also helpful. What kind of submissions do you want to do by the way? Most automated submissions are different. We can't compare them all exactly.

    I never use software and after panda really i suggest you do not try to use software if any thing wrong Google kick your site out of index :)
