    Hello,

    I've spent some time searching on this forum and i've learned that .edu and .gov backlinks are the best backlinks highly recognize by search engines.

    Does that also mean the .Edu and .Gov Domain names are more SEO friendly or are they preffered when it comes to backlinks?

    Govt. and Edu. provides efficient backlinks to your site.
    But i am not very sure about the Edu and Govt. domain names.
    Any body with the relevant information. Please enlighten us too.

    I think gov and edu sites just have the quality backlinks but they are not preferred on Google Search!

    I think .com domain is best. It is most used and well performed domain extension.

    Ranking is not depends upon the domain extension. It is depends upon the quality backlinks. domain extensions are used for defining local reas. if u want to target your website globally then go with .com domain

    The extension doesnt affect the SERP much. People prefer .com just because it was "default" on our mind
