Microsoft dumps Silverlight

    Almost.
Plugins aren't allowed on IE10 on Windows 8 in Metro mode, the native mode. Which means Silverlight won't run. Nor will Flash.
Congratulations for all the hard work you Silverlight developers put in! Good luck finding a job. I'm glad you put your complete faith and trust in Microsoft!

Bugger, I was impressed by Silverlight... hadn't used it yet but for intranets it looked really useful and only a matter of time before the plugin is used enough that it won't be an issue to use it on regular sites.

It never seemed to catch on with any programs - very few things used it. At least that was my observation from my internet usage.

If you say IE10 don't allow plugins in metro mode... do you mean NO MORE annoying toolbars??
