    1 impression is the same as 1 page view.
    The term is also used for banner advertising, where 1 impression = 1 banner display.

    Impression means how often your site comes on search results. for example you type a keyword like bad credit loans on search engine, it shows 10 results on page 1 by default. If your website is one of these then your site gets 1 impression. If a visitor clicks on your site then your site gets 1 hit.
    So, Impression means how often your site looks on search engine.

    according to me Google impression are the key phrases identified by the Google those are present on the site Google counts their presence and the clicks we got due to those phrases

    An impression means one pageview. Whenever someone will open one of your site's pages, that is one pageview or impression you are receiving. So an impression can also be called as a pageview.

    Page impressions in Google AdSense tell you how many times each ad unit has been loaded. If you have three ad units on a particular Web page, when a browser loads up that page, AdSense registers one impression for each ad unit (assuming they all loaded correctly). Because of this, overall AdSense impressions are not a suitable proxy for Web traffic in general.
