free domains? dot.tk? never heard of it, thanks, will check it out.....that could save me a lot of money!

Oh, I see now that it is for .tk domains....I don't even know what that stands for....hmm, will have to check, but thanks anyway....I prefer .com, .net or .org domains personally.

I suppose that FREE web hosts can be only good for testing websites but not running them day by day.

You'd better pay some dollars for reliability, speed and support services than to see your web sites down.

Try to get hostings from blue host or go daddy, both are good for SEO. :)

Hope you found what you're looking for, even though some of the choices above are not actually free. One of the things to consider when getting a free website is the "back-end" issues that surface.

Some of them will provide a domain without a "sub," but they will place ads on your website. Others will leave the ads out, but require you to have a minimum amount of traffic or they could deactivate the account.

Don't be afraid to invest a little money. After all, any business is going to cost something. If you don't have a lot of financial backing, find a web hosting plan that offers monthly payments. It might cost you more a month than if you pay for a year in advance, but for some people it is well worth it.

You don't need a .com site like you did 5 or 6 years ago. If a place is offering a great deal on a different "dot," take advantage of it. Granted, there are pros and cons to this, but if you do your research it will be easier to come up with the right solution.

    Good Luck~

You should use wordpress.com or blogger.com. Both are well establish and widely used. Among them I prefer wordpress.com

This is true, but the individual is asking for something without a subdomain. Is there a trick to doing this without purchasing a domain and redirecting? If so, someone should post it.

If your serious about making a money making site, then the very least you can do is get a domain and hosting. All in all would cost around $14

Go Daddy has free hosting for small sites but it requires having an ad at the top of the page.
