I'm just getting started. A friend refered me to this site and after a bit of browsing...well it's all a bit overwhelming. Just looking for some getting started tips. Nothing to extensive. Not looking to make a lot of money because I may not be interested in this sort of thing in a month. Any help will be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

If you have experience in terms of SEO or any other programming language, you will sure get a decent money out of it.
If you are not looking to commit to the internet, then its prob not for you. There is no such thing as a quick rich in internet marketing... ( even fb took 2 years of hard work and then a investor walked in and basically paid for the company to grow and after years and years is when the fb people made their money ) If you want advise on how to start - you need to know what you want to do ( or what you dont want to do ) and then come back here and post. Its a mine feild the internet and it does take some money to start. However you have chosen the best place to start.. digital point is awesome.
This site is basically all about web marketing, development, earning online etc. This is good if you are looking to start a new website or online business.
Whatever you do, make sure its consisten, learn how to create a webiste, put some content, know about "Affiliates", clickbank, cpa, amazon, ebay etc.. try to know first what all these, then start learning how to "get traffic" for your website.. RULE IS: NO TRAFFIC --> NO MONEY
