British Parliament debate wether to launch an Iraq War enquiry

Discussion in 'Politics & Religion' started by mistermix, Oct 31, 2006.

This British Parliament is currently debating wether a official enquiry it to the handling of the Iraq war by Britain should be started now.

The debate is due to end in the next hour or so.

    What do you guys think?

Should an enquiry begin while British troops are still in Iraq?

Or is it more important to start the enquiry while Tony Blair is still in office (he leaves next year)? Afterall, this is his war.

    edit:

The vote has now been taken and there will not be an enquiry. It was a narrow victory for the Government. A big shame.

Yeah we should do it. It's more than the US is willing to admit or do.

I agree. If you are willing to start a war then you should be held accountable for every little detail of the process.

Why do we need an investigation?

Cheney, Bush and Blair are bumbling idiots, they have lied, stolen and defrauded the citizens of the world, all of them should be removed from office, end of story!

This is just another stalling tactic!

Yeah but if the investigation happens, and reaches a verdict, something may come out of it?

Here in the USA we call it a landslide in the mid terms for Democrats and impeachment proceedings and convictions against Bush and Cheney!

Voting machines in the US are rigged, so no worries about democrats taking the house! Right?

Besides, there's a guy who works at an all night diner in Montana who has a second cousin on his adapted uncle's side of the family, who has a third cousin in Arkansas that works for a company that has a machine operator whose sister-in-law on his Aunties side of the family has a dog that was run over by a car driven by alex jone's step-aunt who has son-in-law that lives in Shreveport who once made a left in Albuquerque and stopped in a gas station whose senior attendant has a distant cousin who worked for the government at Area 51 in the 1960s who has a grandson that works for the company that provides janitorial services for Diebold.

So it's safe to say, the voting machines are rigged :D

    How do you figure that?

BP has bought and sold Blair for years!

I dont know anything about that.

I meant how media campaigns are used to manipulate voters and make them vote against their self interests.

Politicians all over the world will sink to as low as the laws allow.

I think US politics would benefit from some stricter rules regarding political campaigning.

If there is any serious conflict of interests with Tony Blair in relation to links to businesses then the feisty British journalist will reveal it.
