My site is ranked very well in google.com, but the same keywords are ranked poorly in google.co.uk, any suggestion on how to improve my site's ranking in google.co.uk? thanks.

My site is .cn and has its server in USA.

Optimize your website in Webmaster tools.
You can set targeting country in Google WM tools. As your domain .cn ,it may not be very effective but some how works.

First of all search UK based data contains classifieds ads, directory list, business listing, yellow pages, event posting sites and local search engine friendly directory list. Then get back links from these sites your keyword will rank soon in UK search engine.

Do some SEO for UK based sites. Search for UK based directories, forums, blogs, etc. and submit the required.

do you want to rank both in UK and US or just in the UK?

if you want to just rank in the UK you can specify UK as your target region in Google webmaster tools (skip this if you want both UK and US rankings). Now that alone won't cut it, so you need to do a bit of SEO:

    1. optimize on page so the crawler knows you're relevant to the UK - list a UK adress of your company (a PO box will do the trick if you don't have a physical presence there)
    2. get links from co.uk sites, sites hosted in the UK and sites ranking well in google.co.uk for your niche - try adding some geo modifiers to the anchor texts like: "your_keyword UK" or "your_keyword London"
    3. get a Google places listing in the UK (again use PO box if needed)

This should do the trick, but if everything else fails - register a co.uk domain and start anew.

Where is your site's target audience? A site can only rank really really well if it was meant for the US. Different Geographical locations play a factor in the rankings.
