I was looking at blog posting but found most blogs that allow comments are often full of useless spam. what alternatives do i have to increase backlinks to my site? all suggestions welcome
Article marketing, setting up review sites, submitted articles to document sites, write a free report with anchored links that people will distribute for you...
Hey have you thought about skype contacts and social traffic exchanges where you could meet people with quality blogs. It is just a thought... Thanks.
I am building backlinks too for my new website and I have not commented any blog yet. There are multiple other ways: submitting url to blog catalogues, HubPages, url directories, creating profiles on social networks like LinkedIn with your url. Just google "how to create backlinks" or something similar
Do not use any back link services unless you want all your websites sand boxed. I'm speaking from first hand experience. Build your own, it's not about quantity it's about quality
Here is a list of free directories where you can post yourself. I wold suggest setting yourself a goal. Spend 15-20 mins a day doing 10 submissions. Vary the text used on each a little though. Don't just paste the same for each. http://www.directoryroll.com/
What I usually do (it take's time) is find other site's and ask them to link extange with me, I did this got about 30+ pr2+ backlinks in a month .
yes and try to comment there on good manners and just on the topic because sometime webmasters don't like off the topic comments.
Just some blogs have a lot of spam not all. Blog posting is still a great way to get links. A hint if you want to find blogs that don't have a lot of spam then look for those that require you to log in to post.
You could also try article marketing with the likes of Ezinearticles and Goarticles, the search engines still respect article directories even after Panda, and getting your link on the resource pages of these article directories can serve you well
Most forums and blogs these are no follow and the ones that do follow, as you have found out, are mostly filled with spam. I suggest you find blogs and forums that are related to your niche and participate in those. Regardless of whether these are no follow or do follow, participating in these will still bring you traffic eventually.
I think you are forgetting that just about any link to your website is a good one. What you do need to be wary of however, is joining poor link exchange programs that are full of useless sites, sending outbound links to poorly crafted sites with duplicate content is a sure way to get a slap on the wrist from Google, and you don't want that! Just keep: Posting on blogs and forums related to your topic; Writing valuable articles that link back to your site; Promoting your site with social networking. I hope that helps
