Do we really need META keywords?

    I think it has drastically reduced in importance in terms of SEO. But it is so simple and easy to do, why not take a few minutes and do it.

    meta keyword is important to make our blogs friendly with SE like google,,
    but meta keyword is not most important thing,,

    it is useless now since the SE technology now is good enough to catch the keyword, meta tag is being ignoring now

    The importance of Meta Keywords has been dramatically reduced, but many people still use it, from personal experience, though its power has been reduced, it's still helpful.

    Now a days google prety much ignore keyword tags, so do not stuff keyword tag with many keywords just use 4 to 5 relevant keywords because other search engines like yahoo, bing will use these tags..:)

    Now Search Engines give higher priority to Meta Title and Meta Description and craze of Meta Keywords is reduced because of being copied by other users...

    No meta keywords are not playing a vital role now a days so it's not an issue either you have meta keyword or not have meta keyword.

    See Meta tags is not the most important factor to improve your rankings but at the same time you cannot ignore these tags as all the search engines do read the Meta Tags of the pages. So Yes, it is important in that regard.

    meta keywords are not crawled by the Search engine robots but still you can use proper keywords for your pages...
