Kloxo Uses Too Much Ram

I got a lowendbox vps with 512mb of RAM and installed kloxohost. I find that it takes up 320mb of ram when doing nothing! I am a complete beginner to VPS and I can't really do this sort of thing with computers (but you have to learn sometime, right?). Anyway when I tried some optimization technique it basically killed the whole thing. I think the issue is I can't use SSH. Can anyone provide a super easy guide to optimize?

    Thankyou so much!! :)

I will tell you an 'easy' way.

You need at least 1GB ram VPS to run kloxo smoothly. Upgrade to 1GB plan and you won't have any problems. :)

:) Yes but that's not an easy way to "optimize" as in the question

Well Kloxo uses lots of RAM. If you are the single user in that box Install Webmin and it should do the task. It's not as easy as Kloxo though.
    Alternatives are EHCP with Ubuntu.

Yes but I want to start a kloxo host biz, and webmin isn't as user friendly

I don't think so. It is made for sysadmin instead of end user. I find it very cool, especially when I am bored with SSH.
In simpler words Webmin is Web based graphical SSH client.

EHCP may be alternative for you.

Unfotunatly called myself kloxohosts and kloxo just seems more like cpanel, hence why its better (people would know how to use it). EHCP looks good, but maybe the best idea is just to get more ram.

    Hi there,

If you are planning on selling services from this server, as you have stated you are, then it would be wise to get a better VPS plan, as you will not be in business for long if pages start to lag and the server is not accessible.
