Hi! I sold my site for 150$, he paid first via paypal, but after the site was transferred to his hosting account, he made a chargeback. I now have lost my site and domain. He also scamed few other people and now his hosting account seems to be suspended. Im not that much worried about the site, because i still got all the licenses. Now what should i to to get my domain back? It was moved from my namecheap account to his.

Have you tried reporting him to the domain registrar?

First you need to gather evidence of the deal between you, and him. Then you need to contact the place where you purchased the domain you sent to him. With all screenshots, and information proving of the scam. You also want to report the scammer to digitalpoint staff if it was on this forum.

Hi pspro, Sorry to hear this story. If you still have the licence of the domain, you can still transfer the site to your hosting account. This probably is going to cost you something.

Wow, great lesson thanks for the reminder. Contact both the sending and receiving registrar's sooner rather than later. Also, ICANN.

If it was from GoDaddy or something they cannot help you get the domain back.

It is sad to hear what happened to you, but what you can do if you still have the licence is that you can have the site transfered to your account. You might have to pay something but at least you will get your site back.

Gather all transaction evidence, emails and all sorts of information and then contact your registrar.I think no one immediately transfer a domain name into another registrar account. It will take some days like 40 or so.so contact your registrar ASAP.

Sorry to hear about your loss, man. This is why I generally don't like small-scale site flipping. In the future, I'd recommend you do work with a middleman. It always makes me feel better with my transactions, and middlemen aren't that expensive nowadays.

Contact PayPal (though they probably won't help), your host, and domain registrar.

They can't. They need to review the transaction.

They probably just froze the money pending an investigation.

If the buyer paid with credit card, and filed a charge back, most likely the seller will lose the case.
Paypal will just simply honor the buyer if the charge back was filed by a bank's credit card department.
