Outlook for an Article Directory Site

    Greetings Fellow Dp'ers,

    You guys and gals always have the best advice so I'm going to ask a serious question.

    What is the success and profitability outlook for starting an Article Directory Submission site similar to EzineArticles and GoArticles.

    I figure that there are always new internet marketers coming into the market every day and looking for new chances at getting their articles ranked by Google and Yahoo, and yet some are tried these different article directories and are looking for new and fresh ones thinking google and yahoo might like them.

    Also, internet marketers are sometimes looking for more article directory sites to submit their articles to which gives them more exposure to their articles, websites, and good backlinks.

    Unfortunately, I am not sure if there are too many article sites. It seems that the only ones grabbing these new authors are the ones that offer incentives which is something I would consider.

    Please let me know your thoughts and experiences!!! :cool:

    IMO,there is still room for new comer such as you.
    But i need to stress up some point such as your article directory much have more feature and user friendly function than ezine to attract user to use your site

    Well, I am going to sell the domain only www.articlesdesktop.com if anyone interested PM me. Previously this site was having toolbar and other desktop tools for writing etc.

    Exactly. unfortunately, a lot of PR2-3-4-5 domains for sale have weird names and nothing to do with article sites so I think I'm going to start fresh, build it up, and get it to a PR5.

    I would suggest checking out ArticleDashboard they have a script you can customize which alot of sites use.

    I think that starting up an article directory still has room for more development. Just make your directory unique in some way and you should have a nice success.

    I dont know, I really like Articlefriendly.com over Article Dashboard....just seems like its not that well coded....any thoughts?
