Is it worth to have Facebook fan page for building services business

Hello,

My main activity is building services, I am a contractor, working in London. I have tried a little facebook fan page, but I don't really see the facebook fans becoming my customers. I feel, facebook fans are great for some online businesses, like e-shops, news websites, etc. What do you think, is it worth for me, as a contractor, spending time and chatting on that facebook, etc. - as time is really precious? Recession gave me some spare time to think on different marketing strategies, otherwise I wouldn't be here .

 

Get more fans and advertise periodically to get more attention followed by comments, events and discussions, build trust...
Then you will have good conversions. Once you have fans who can trust you, some may become your customers in a single post update you make
Facebook gives lots of opportunities.

 

Well, the fan page is there to promote your business if anything. It doesn't hurt to try it.

Every business shouls have a fan page, it is the best way to keep your customer loyal.

 

Make sure it's a business fan page not a group one. Anything you post on your business FB page get's indexed by Google immediately.

 

Seriously I would never prefer anyone who has offline business for a facebook fan page, the only reason because you dont get much help from such method. Yes if you would like to do some good SEO for your site, then try to target your area first and then google UK. After you have done this and you get good amount of visitors on your site every day, then you can direct them on your fan page. You can also get the fan page URL printed on all your as well as your employee's business cards

 

It does help, it could get up a couple of new customers if used wisely. Plus it is completely free and easy to set up.

 

I think for that nature of product it isnt really that useful. Being listed on google business directory will help more

 

I dont think facebook will help that much in promoting a business such as construction!

But who knows? there might be a potential, provided you use certain measures.

- You will need to target people only around the area where you can provide the service.
- You should post about your construction methods and advantages.
- You need to find customers who regularly require these services.

These are just some of them i just thought of. There are surely more.

FB is useful for any type of business. You can find more project work or services from your customers if your invest here. So keep up your efforts.

 

Use FB pages and properly market and increase your fans. Also you can use twitter to increase your fans.
