    Hi i am one of the admins at, http://ig4l.net/forum/.

    Recently i've noticed this issue for a while its been going on for months. Since we have went from a popular forum to pretty much a dead forum, we have had this problem of excessive guests. 24/7 around the clock we have 200-400 guests online at a time. I'm not sure but this might be causing some of the errors such as gateway errors, drive errors etc. I was wondering if their was a quick and easy way to stop those guests.

    im not to familar with ipb
    but im guessing there is a plugin that allows guests to only view only 5 thread then they have to sign up

    Thanks for the reply but i'm guessing the guests are not legitimate guests as they don't seem to be searching around. So i doubt the plugin would help since they just probably are on the front page.

    It not really do you any harm is it?
    it is very strange though
    if you really didn't like it you could make it so that you have to sign up to access the forum

    Another admin and I have a feeling it might mean we are getting constantly ddosed.
    I care because i think it might be causing some of the lag, and disconnecting issues.
