Elance.com CEO referring to me as 'jerk' on support ticket

An update - I have not heard anything from Elance or Fabio Rosati himself. People make mistakes and sometimes just acknowledging and offering a sincere apology is all it takes to resolve the issue. Nobody in Elance had the guts to say sorry and move on. No wonder, the culture is driven by the CEO who seems to be such a low life himself and would go on to abuse customers.

As I said I don't want to pursue this any further. Internet is an open book and people google you first before looking at your resume. If someone who is looking to hire him or use his services in future will find this thread and know that this guy can be abusive to customers even on email and then not have the courage or moral values to apologize.

Christ Almighty. If you think being called a 'jerk' is 'abuse' you have more problems than people calling you names. 

 

 

My advice is just ignore it and move on..
What i really think its not intentional and not directed at somebody.

He didn't call you a jerk directly - he never knew you would know. It's like overhearing someone calling you a jerk at the office, and then being upset. Don't go legal, don't abuse the system. Just tell him that you don't like how he referred to you, or tweet the email to everyone you can if you're super upset. Have you never dealt with someone you thought was an a** (even if he wasn't, but you were in a bad mood), then said to someone else or though to yourself "what a jerk" . That's exactly what happened here.
