pen tool question

    I believe I have accidentally changed a setting inside my pen tool. I have previously been able to create a path using pen tool and when I created a new selection it was the area I created inside the path. Now for some reason when I use the pen tool and create a path when I make the new selection it selects the inverse of the path I created. How do I undo this?

    In the tool bar at the top (when you have the pen tool out) there should be four button on the right side yours is on the second one change it to the first or last one
