How to get more Fans to join on your fanpage?

Hey everyone, first off I am new to the forum, however I really am getting into the community and helping people. However like everyone, we all have questions to answers we do not have. I would like to know all your suggestions on 'How to build more fans' on facebook. I have a fanpage, it has images, regular updated content, my own videos, contact information and an Iframes introduction. The problem is my list is still at 25 fans. I would like to know any suggestions on building this list.

 

Hello, I'm still working on this process as well and have found some great ways to get Likes to your fanpage.
Before you begin, if you have 25 fans now, you can change the Fanpage URL to a shorter link. (Look up how
to make your fanpage link shorter and you'll see how to do it). This makes it easier to give out and make a
memorable URL for your fanpage.

1. Advertise on Facebook connecting users to your Facebook fanpage.
2. Add the static fbml app to your Fanpage and get users to click the Like button in order to see your content.
3. Try making a flyer or postcard that can be used in offline promotion and hand it out with your Fanpage URL.
4. Post your Fanpage URL 3 x times per day in your facebook status and ask people for their help in getting you likes.
(people are usually happy to oblige).
5. You can pay for likes with certain services. I'm not sure if I'm allowed to put links in here to those so if you
want to know what they are, just PM me.
6. Pay per click and classified work really well for this, so try it also.

I hope these ideas help you to get more likes. The key is to be patient and continue to offer value.

 

Yeah that is cool indeed that '@ Shmerns. I will try this option and link it towards twitter advertising on facebook. I will also try that method of posting it in my status as well. I am aware of some of the social networking buying and selling, as I have bought targetted twitter followers and this is working.
Yeah patience is always the best option.

 

1) Yep - use Facebook advertisement. It's not expensive.
2) It's best if you give away a free ebook (doesn't have to be fancy) for a "Like"
3) Unless this is your personal or business fan page, don't spam your friends
4) Don't spam your Facebook status and friends - worst idea. You can possibly do it once but no more. Don't mix Facebook page and your Facebook status
5) Facebook ads
6) No comment

Summary:
Create Fan Page, create page they can see before "Like" and page/wall they can see after "Like," possibly give something free away, and use Facebook ads to promote it (small investment) - it will travel on autopilot once your have your first likes. Can also promote it with other sources online - website, directories,...

 

You definitely should look at adding plug-ins or buttons on your site to make the Facebook page more accesible.

Have you considered buying some fans to kick start your page and help it to gain popularity?

 

Biased opinion because of link in the signature.

No need to waste money to get "Likes." Just need little investment with Facebook Ads. Just to start and get your first likes.
It will then fly on its own.

 

I wouldn't try and hide that I have a site which sells Facebook fans, but I do think that putting the like button on your site is a no-brainer.

 

Oh, no doubt about that part. "Like" button is a must.

 

If it's a wordpress site, a Plug In is a must also.

You can implement social sharing on your site manually and it can work more efficient for you.
Just need to know what you're doing.

Well, I'm not a teacher. I'm young and normally just do my own research and find methods that work.
I gathered bits and pieces myself and have my own methods, which are hard to explain in detail on the forum.

I don't really like Kevin Riley but he's ok (I can't really teach myself, just give advice). He has a little course that teaches
some of the methods I use.

I personally use these free FB apps to set up "like and reveal" on FB page:
apps.tradablebits.com

Here's basically how it works:
1) Create a Facebook Page
2) Use Exclusive App from TradableBits or some other app to create 2 images - one for Offer to like and one for reward for becoming a fan.
3) Use free eBook or some good deal to give away when they click "Like"
4) Create a cheap Facebook ad campaign just to get the ball rolling
5) Then just keep updating your FB page from time to time by posting links and info from your website

There is more to it. Many more methods. But I hope this helps a bit.

 

Thanks for the tips and info. I'll check out that FB app. I just recently grabbed Static-HTML and it's on my list to figure it out and update our page so that people don't just land directly on our wall. Sounds like tradablebits does a similar thing. Appreciate the suggestions. Oh, and age is irrelevant for things like this (in my opinion anyways)

 

I don't know if you are willing o spend some dollars, but as far as for my experience, the most effective way of getting fans is through the Facebook add.
Make sure the display photo of of your ad will catch the attention of your target audience.
Just make sure you stick to the facebook advertising guidelines for fan page. Sometimes they are strict when it comes to advertising a fan page

- If your niche target to general folks, you can use Twiends.com, I used to get 200 Fans for free from this site.
- You can find S.O on Fiverr.com to add fans for you for 5$. Make sure there are good feedback from customers on their gig.
- Ask friends to suggest to their friends
- Embed Fanpage widget to your blog/site
- Fan exchange with other fanpage admin
- Create Videos with various keywords and promote through YouTube, Tube Mogul, etc
- Put your Fanpage link on your signatur link in forum
- Writing article along with your Fanpage link
- Advertise through Facebook CPC
