    As per your question Facebook and Twitter are not going to support SEO at all. Because both of these site are social media site and the links you get from there are "No follow" and also not cached. So these are not going to help optimize the search engine. Rather they helped you to get the targeted traffic towards your site and may turn your site visitors into your client.

    For SEO links, Facebook is better, mainly because their pages stay in Google's index, while Twitter's tweets disappear (if they ever get indexed) after a while...

    I think both have unique quality, features and style. In Media sharing facebook is genius but in comments and text twitter is great. You can compare them. :)
