If interested, please share your personal favorite keyword research strategy. I have a few software programs, and I keep hearing people say that manual is better. Regardless, what is a good specific formula for keyword research? I read monthly searches of 3,000 with less than 100,000 competition is best for beginners. All of my keywords were too high competition, and software suggested one with 4,300 monthly searches and only about 14,000 competitors. So, technically that would be a goldmine if it's a buying keyword? Although I can't see most people using those words over the more competitive ones. # 1 result for the suggested keyword has very good Alexa and only about 12 backlinks. And then people argue about checking competition with quotes vs without quotes. Then KEI confuses me. High competition keywords are like 50000 KEI and software suggests good keywords with as low as 1.2 KEI. So KEI really doesn't matter, because it will go up but so will competition? I'm confused, I've been reading so much. I just want a good formula with specifics to follow. X,XXX searches per month with less than XXX,XXX competiton without quotes, less than X,XXX backlinks, etc. Please help.
Look at page source and find their keywords, then check aganst your kw and see what is different. If nothing try adding an 's (making them plural) you may get some strange results. We have done this for certain kw when the keyword in singular has a higher competitive site result we optimise for this then we are certian it will range for plural
Great, thanks! What is considered high volume, low competition? High volume = more than 6,000 searches per month? Low competition = less than 100,000 competing sites? And there's lots of argument over using quotes vs non-quotes to check competition. Personal preference?
There are few steps you can follow if you want to do manually Step 1: Start with a Good List of Seed Keywords. Step 2: Find Related Keywords, Step 3: Map Out Your Web Content Structure Step 4: Find Long Tail Keywords Step 5: Create Your Detailed Content Plan Finally I would say , Hot issue + Popular keyword = Content Title Cheers CAhttp
