Which is more important, PR and Ranking ?

I will like to know main difference between PR and site ranking and please tell me which one of these is most important. Because I have two websites with PR -2 for each and ranking of 328,406 & 242,348 but I still cannot my sites on google first pages.

 

Page rank just tell about the web site back links but if you want to better result in your business then you have to increase your rank in SERPs .

 

Then why is it that although I have a higher ranking than most of my competitors when it comes to web hosting in Ghana, but google displays their sites on the first page whilst my is no where to be found.

 

PR is Worthless
RANKINGS are all that mater

Ranking is important than any ther factor. Becoz if you will get rank then you will get traffic as well as sales.

 

There is no doubt that Ranking is utmost important for any website. If your PR is 10 and you are not coming on SERP with targeted keywords then what's the point of having High PR.

Don't think PR and Alexa ranking it is like rank card...If your site get more high PR back links and good key word position means automatically you will get PR rank, Alexa rank and business leads ...

I think it is SERP more important than PR.we results can be obtained easily in the SERP, but if we get good PR for our website, then take a long time time.So to measure the quality of the SERP rankings favorite websites forever.

 

Page rank has nothing to do with the ranking of the keywords. Better you concentrate on doing the proper seo for your site so that you can get high rankings for your keywords.

According to me ranking is much important, page rank is just a measure of your web importance

 

I think that the context the link is placed in is more important. If it's next to a bunch of links that aren't related to it, the search engine will likely consider it like a blogroll or something and discount the link.

However, if it's on a page that's related to the page it's linking to, it should carry a lot more weight, regardless of whether it's on the home page or subpage.

 

Page rank is mainly used for link exchange purpose and if you are looking to drive traffic to your website then ranking do matter a lot.

 

Ranking is more important then PR. Page rank only an way to increase traffic at your website.

 

Page Rank is the impression of the webpage in terms of google .
Ranking represent the ranking of the keywords on the various search engine .

 

As all of the people here has said. Having high PR doesn't mean that you will automatically have high ranking.
So instead of try to get more PR, you should build some links.
And it is said that backlinks from high PR page will help to boost your ranking.
