Seo 4 Smf

Hi,

I just released a seo package for smf. It's still in beta and I need your opinion and tests

It's working with SMF1.1RC3 and TinyPortal 0.96.

You can download it from http://www.webmaterstalks.com. If you have Apache 1.3 be very carefully because some default installation doesn't let you to use .htaccess. Read the readme.txt from mod.

I don't understand you question very exactly !

1. It seems some search engine like this URLs.
2. Also is changeing your Keywords and Descriptions meta tags.
3. Is generating a sitemap for google and a urllist for yahoo.

0.1 is final. Now I just wait to see what else do you need.

Right now the version 0.1 is adding this features:

1. It's adding beatifull urls. Your url will look like:
Board: http://www.forum-example.com/the-board-name-id/
Topic: http://www.forum-example.com/the-boa...c-name-id.html
2. Change your meta tags kewords and descriptions.
3. Create sitemap and url list for Google and Yahoo
4. Redirecting old pages (if you already had "Search engine friendly URLs") enabled.

Hi!

I have installed some fmx forums for my sites ( auto install from C-pannel) Version SMF 1.0.8.

Can i use your seo mod?

or will i need to upgrade my SMF? ( can it be done easy from SMF?)

 

Ive installed it on our 1.1 rc3 board but when i enable SEO the topics doesnt show..
I keep getting a 404 error message when i click on a topic.

i had 1.1rc3 all alone and i was unable to get it to work either, but i'm still trying cause this is a good thing and will be awesome for me once i have it going properly.

awesome hack, smfseo was available for 1.07. With this release im going to use this on my two boards.

worked for me.

 

yes he has included a file to work with tiny portal.

But he forgot to mention, if you dont have a tiny portal, it gives one error for a file.
Just ignore it to make it work.

Anyway I just launched version 0.2 RC4 with some new features:

1. Supporting pretty url's for TP articles
2. Supporting pretty url's for profiles
3. Social bookmarking (Digg, Delicious, url, slashdot)
4. Change Description and keywords meta tags after some simple rules
5. Possibility to remove accented chars from url's
6. Supporting utf8 url's

Hey There is another issue, the sitemap generated by the script is in:
Content-type: text/plain should be Content-type: text/xml
next.
Google sitemap gives error, says there are some characters which it cannot validate
