Newbie Questions Regarding Article Submission

    Hi,

I have been making websites for a long time, over 5 years and feel I know a fair amount about SEO however one part of SEO I have never really touched on is writing articles yet 'everyone' seems to say you need to get writing articles for your back links.

    So, I am thinking about starting to write some articles for my websites but I have a few questions;

    1. If I write one article, where do I submit to? one place or many?
    2. Can I use links in the article or should I just reference once at the bottom?
    3. How many words? I have heard between 500 - 1500 which is best?
    4. How on earth do you decide what to write about? For example, if your website is about photo printing how do you decide what to write?
    5. I presume that I am not looking for hits, it's all about the link juice right?
    6. Is it worth the effort?

    Thanks

    hope this helps....

    1. write one but then spin it into several unique articles, then post an individual unique article to all the big article sites
    2. some article sites will allow you to post 2/3 links in the article, have your keywords as anchored text, some may just allow you to post a link at the end
    3. always over 500 imho
    4. i generally find 2 or 3 articles already on the chosen subject, take bits from each and put them into my own words to form one good article, then as i mentioned spin it for each article site
    5. generally its for the link juice, but if you make the titles good low competition keywords you may get some traffic from the articles when people find them on google etc
    6. yes its worth the effort, there is programs out there to automate a lot of the stuff i mentioned above including submission

    :)

It is definitely worth the effort. A program that I use is Article Demon. Google it. It's a time saver (as far as submitting to directories).

I think you need to get the actual experience from practising, most article submission does not allow links. Just remember to submit something that really helpful to people so they will reprint it.

Remember that the title is VERY important. The best way to know what to write about is to go on ezine articles, or any article directory for that matter, and run a search for any keyword that might be related to your topic. This way, you'll be able to inspire yourself from previous articles and find ideas on what to write about.

Article writing is a very good method of letting people know about you and your site. You can add links in the article body but not more than one and you can add one in the author's resource box. If you are thinking in terms of seo then it will be very beneficial for you.

    To know about article submission,

first: find the list of relevant article websites from search engine for your site.
second: study the guidlines(terms and conditions) of each and every website because so many article sites provides different different rules and regulations.
third: then register into the all article site and submit you article
I hope, your all confusion will be removed after reading the guidlines of article sites.

    1. Ezine article is the best place to. I suggest you place to many.
    2. That depends on the article directory. Some allow link in the body of the article, some don't.
    3. 250 - 500
    4. If you don't have idea, use PLR articles and spin them.
    5. Yup
    6. It can be boring, but it's worth for long term.

I have 4000 PLR articles if you want, PM me.

Thanks for nicely summing it up. :) I agree. Article writing and submission is time consuming but it's effects are well worth the effort. It's not just about getting link juice, it is building a reputation for your website as a source of good information for the niche you are in.

Definitely worth the effort indeed. Get a blog setup on your subdomain and submit articles to this which route back to your site as well as submit them to different sites. But you wouldn't want to over do for Google might penalize you for duplicate content. Hope this helps.
