Google PR: page’s importance based on number and quality of incoming links to your website. Alexa: based on traffic recorded to your website as calculated through the Alexa Toolbar Google PR: ranks 1-10. Higher you get, its better for your website Alexa: count from Millions to 1, Smaller you get, better for your website for more just google it
The Google PR gives your webpages a certain PR depending on how popular your website is. Take Facebook for example, it has a PR 10 because it is known in the whole world and 1/6 of the world population is subscribed on Facebook. On the other hand, the Alexa ranking is determined by the amount of traffic your website has. The more people visit your website daily, the higher your alexa ranking goes.
Google's PR counts counts... Alexa who??? It doesn't have anything to do with ranking, search positions or profit for you business. It doesn't even report an accurate number when it comes to traffic.
Well, Alexa rank is not of much importance in SEO. It is purely based on traffic. Whereas Google PR is based on number and quality of backlinks.
Alexa is based on Traffic not with Quality of the Web site and backlinks but Google updates PR concerning Quality and not Quantity.
Google PR : It is assigned by Google to every web page based on its backlinking profile. Alexa Rank : It is assigned by Alexa, based on number of hits a website is receiving from Alexa traffic. To me none of them is important as none of them influence your conversions and ROI
