Post created just 7 days ago got PR4 ?

Is this normal this days?
Blog post created only 7 days ago receiving page rank?
Many of you heard about tragic death od British singer Amy Winehouse right, She died end of last month July 27th
Well, I created blog post that day and just today I have noticed it got page rank

I mean it use to be that Google assigned page rank to new pages that were at least 2-3 months old
It seems that now is all in real time
Here is the page I am talking about

pages get their page rank once cached by google. but only reflected in toolbar when PR is updated for toolbar. 
so even a page created 1 day back may get page rank if it is cached before the PR is updated 

 

I use PR checker and it is PR4, the page loads too long and I didn't have a chance to see your contents there.

Well, gaining immediate PR won't be possible if the page earns too much authority.. unless there's a glitch in PR algorithm.

 

It depends on the timing, if the timing is right, you can even gain pr4 is one day

 

Well it mostly depends on your traffic too. You get a good traffic from that post thus you get the eyes of Google on your site. But be careful about the other factors like link building, content etc otherwise you can lose your rank at any moment.

 

Great to hear that , maybe it the latest and famous news cause you get lot of traffic and analyse as quality content. But this PR is hard to maintain . 
No Celebrity die all the time. You must make sure know how to maintain or improve it.  

 

I am have some similar stories. The blog post written in the before 10 days got PR of 2. And every page writing with my blog will get some decent PR after a week of time .I am thinking over whether its a good sign or not

Its great but its not possible that you hot a PR 4 at a time. If your page is not cached and you have a good quality of content then also not possible that you got a PR. But if you created a page today and cached by Google today itself and tomorrow google run the PR algo then it is possible you got a PR for that particular web page.

 

i must say you are one lucky person, the post count as trend and you are getting a good number of traffic from google and i believe the traffic also stay there for a while and the butter on toast, google has update the PR once again after a very short time of 40 days. so, cheers.

You are right friend. My blog's inner or sub pages have also got PR-2 to PR-3 and these pages are not too old all of those pages are almost 2 to 3 months old and have no backlinks. But still Google give them PR-2 to PR-3. I think now PR is all real time whenever your website update it will get PR from Google and i think its good news for SEO and web owners.

Wow! We can't say it's by mistake or unfortunate. Mark his month google updated his PR 2 more times ?

 

You have 11 backlinks to that page and few of them are high PR , that is the reason you got a high PR for this page. Also google had done more than 3 PR updates in last 30 days. So it is coincident that you wrote it and got a high PR. Nice to see this.

 

I have a big network of sites and from what I have seen recently, Google is updating the toolbar much frequently for many websites. Especially the ones that
already have some PR on their home page have many links and are updated frequently. It fluctuates a lot, i even had PR4 sites go to PR0 and than back up to PR3
in couple of weeks and back to PR4 again in few more days.

 

On August PR update, any article or even a site created before July 29th will got a PR if it has enough backlinks. Its no big deal the Google is doing strange things. Similar thing has happened with my site also.
