i too started a new blog and though i haven't earned much, I do get good value for my clicks.

This year I spent about 6000$ on ads. From what I have learned, ads will not pay off on a site like www.socialprowl.com because visitors will just bounce and go back to using google. i'm from Russia and bids like 2+$ seem unreal there)) most of the bids are 1-5 cents)) and it's unreal to get higher bids. That's why i'm here

 

You may not get much of traffic on site like that. Even if you have some traffic on the site you will not find them coming again. Because Any one can bookmark the social networking sites rather than bookmarking or making your page as a home page. I have seen a lot of money is File Searching Busineess people search for eBooks and other documents.

That's fantastic, now you just need to increase your traffic and start driving that revenue up through the roof.

No. The custom search is bringing in small trickles of money. But around 95% of revenue is from banners.

You should also delete the ads that aren't giving you much per click (you can do this).

I do $2-$3 per click nowadays after removing irrelevant ads =]

I was surprised to hit something like 5 bucks today with only 3 clicks. Wish I could have more clicks though...

And how do you filter irrelevant ads? Just type in the name of the site that is giving you garbage on the filter? 

 

Won't Google dislike the lack of content on you page? Your getting an average of $2.59 per click on that one ad or on the search or ?

Thanks konidig. primarily off the ad. search is earning but lower amounts.

In response to the prior posts about blocking lower paying ads.. how do I do so. So far i am under: Adsense Setup (tab) / Ad review center

But do not know what to do from here.
