    It is possible to make money from Betfair, but only a very small percentage of its users manage to do so. To make a full time living from it requires you to know your subject matter inside out and have a large betting bank along with a great deal of patience and discipline to get through the inevitable losing runs. It can be a very frustrating place to try and make cash because you can go for long periods where things don't go your way even if you apply your proven strategy correctly. To my mind, for most people Betfair is a better thing to do as a sideline rather than having to depend on it for your primary income. The betting markets on there are so efficient that it requires a lot of experience and hard work to get any sort of advantage over the other punters you are betting against.

    you all wrong,as a tarder you can make money for living on betfair,i'm doing this for more than 1.5 year now,98% is on tennis.
    but you have to know how to do it first otherwise you will lose you money faster than you notice

    generally odds are against you. Why not go with something where odds are significantly in your favor such as stock market trading, dividend stocks or forex carry trades?

    There are a number of professionals who trade on Betfair full time, however it is an extremely small percentage of users, and it takes a lot of dedication to get to that level. Tennis is the most popular sport for doing this due to the huge swings in odds that happen every game with alternating serve.
