google dance or penalty

I have been building links to one of my website and it was on page 9, yesterday it moved to page 14

should i consider this as google dance or penalty?

i think it is due to google dance. it happens sometime. 

 

If it is a new site and you built a lot of links it's normal to happen. But no worries,it will be back.
Same thing happens to me from time to time

i did build high amount of profile links as well, that might be one reason for g dance, i will do more quality links building now,

any more suggestions?

 

make sure your link building work is consistant and same must be the case with quantity .. like for xample dont do 4 links one day and then 10 other day n then 15 other day .. do one ammount of backlinking a day keep the number same and then increase dem slowely .... Good luck

 

the same thing with me.my website moved from second page to 11 page last 2 days only and just waiting to come back previous position.

 

Sites often will bounce around many times in just a single day. The newer the site, the more volatile the change in SERs. This dance is due to many things from the consistency of your seo to the consistency of your competitors web pages ..etc.

Yeah, sounds like the dance to me. I had a new site that was at about position #13 for a bit then it dropped to page 55+ for a month. It eventually came back to page one after that month passed and has stayed there for the past month. I wasn't too sure if it was a penalty or a prolonged and brutal dance. I still haven't figured it out since I didn't make any changes when it was buried. I was just wanting to see what would happen. I kept building links and rode it out. Seems to have worked out okay for now.

 

Simply you're moved for Google dance. Just keep quality link building and add unique content at your site. Don't get much bother about it because it'll be improved automatically.

 

Did you break any webmaster guide during optimization, if so then change in ranking may be due to penalty.....otherwise it can be of Google dance

As someone has already pointed out, it is important to be consistent in link building. If you make a lot of backlinks at once, there is a chance for you getting penalised as Google might thyink that you have used some black hat technique to gain such large number of backlinks at once. But there is no harm in continuing with your consistent link building and gaining genuine backlinks. The reason for your site dropping from page 9 to page 14 certainly seems to be an effect of Google dance. No need to worry about it. All the best.

 

I don't think you should worry about sudden changes like these. SEO is for long term and since your site was on page 9 I assume not much SEO has been done. Therefore, moving to page 14 is no surprise to me. If you said you moved from page 1 to page 9 I would worry about that. And just watching it for 4-5 more days is not the answer. You will have to keep at it and keep working and 2-3 months, you should be doing considerably well.

 

is your problem OK dude ? i heard that Google dance has stopped more than 1 years ago. so change the strategies of your work. On page and Off page Both.

it can be anything you need to wait for sometime and notice the rankings if they keep dancing and don't stablize than it is a google dance and you need to get some quality links in order to stable the rankings. If the ranking keep getting lower than you need to analyze your whole SEO campaign and figure out what is going wrong
