I want to redesign site. How about google ?

Hello everybody.
I want to make complete redesign of my site that is appears in google.
Is it safe for google or I will disappear form ranking ?

 

If you already got ranks well in the search engines, then you need to be careful that your redesign doesn't harm those existing results.

 

Don’t take a risk without taking suggestion from a experience SEO expert.

 

the key things that matter for keeping your rankings are:

- keeping your external links intact so that all your pages can still be found where they were
- keeping the unique content of the page intact (including title, h1-h7 tags, context-relevant images, basic structure)
- keeping internal links intact
- site must not become slower as a result of the redesign

if you do that, chances are good the redesign won't affect rankings.

 

if not necessary don't do that, as it will spend a lot of energy and may effect your rank. i have the experience, even i do carefully in redirect, still have some problem unseen/ the results is not good, i have lose some ranks and target customers. so if want to do that, be more careful/

 

use proper redirection if page url changed
Restore meta tags and content
create/update sitemap to announce Google about changes

 

Usually, redesign does not impact your web rankings until you are inserting something which search engines can't read.

Otherwise, website redesign never impact your website's rankings in negative way.
