    Hi imi,

That's a pretty vague question. Which OS are you running? If Linux which distribution?

In most cases your hosting company will take care of all of this for you. All you really need to do is learn how to program with PHP and MySQL. There are many good tutorials on the web for this.

With Linux PHP and MySQL usually come preinstalled or you can find nice RPM or DEB packages to make life easier.

With Windows just do the install like any normal application: download and doubl-click the exe file. :)

If you post a more specific question we can post a more specific answer.

    ah :)
Anywhere you want or so the manual says. I'd stick it right in your web root. So:
    www.yoursite.com/phpbb

Or in terms of the file system under your www or public_html etc. directory.

Unzip and follow the instructions: http://www.phpbb.com/support/guide/#section2

    Does that help?

Download Apache, PHP and MySQL for your computer. Install them on your computer. Once you've done that post again.
