I gotta agree with you... Everybody is throwing up new sites with no traffic or revenue , and hoping to get some good fish to bite. Even on flippa all crap most sites are either one month and less old .

    yes, I agree with you.

    on the other hand...
I'm not a seller but I also see most WTB threads
and mostly are CRAP as well
5-6x monthly earning for making money adsense site is crap
if the buyers offer crap, the seller will provide crap
sellers will never offer good sites since they know the buyers are offering crap prices

so where do we should start again?
from the buyers or the sellers side?
or should we just agree on 'DP market is crap market'?

And I'm not talking about site selling market only.

I just posted a good site for sale. StarCraft2Forum.org. Does this mean I'm reviving DP? haha :)

Maybe if you were asking less than 20-30x monthly revenue (10-15k?) then you could qualify.

My suggestion is that DP should open two sub forums...new sites and established sites. That way it would be much cleaner.

Or maybe have a system like the ebook one and set a listing fee (a fixed low one), and hopefully that will cut the amount of crap sites being posted.
But this site is very dead for selling established websites, very few people here are willing to buy websites for more than a grand.

I think they should improve their search!

ie i'm looking for a pr5 website in a certain niche, should be as simple as selecting 5 from a drop down box and typing in your keyword. Established sites, new sites, dropped domains should have their own set of criteria. (Even searching for websites being sold by users with a certain amount of iTrader points would help)

Agree, there are a bunch of crap sites on here and flippa. It's cool though, cause I get a good laugh looking through some of these listings.

Very good points. Its nice to see that I am not the only one who knows good quality when we see it. I have bought one or two Good sites. But I have been sifting through crap for months to get these diamonds in the ruff.

I have purchased once on Flippa and will never again. In my opinion its not very financially fair for both seller and buyer.

I disagree. Flippa is too organized, DP is fun because you have to dig into treads - like yellow press newspapers, sort of.

It's true it is mostly new turnkey sites, but if you want money makes go somewhere else, this is good when you just need a site to complement your niche money maker (for links etc)

I love DigitalPoint, but I have to admit that I put all my good sites on Flippa because the bigger spenders are there. I had 3 clone sites in a network and I put 2 on Flippa and one here just out of curiousity. The 2 on Flippa sold for $280 and $250 and the one on DP only bid to $30 and then THAT bidder turned out to be a deadbeat who never paid.

The only thing left on here is cheap sites bought by cheap people, unfortunately.

I would like to see some sort of moderation where sites that are comprised of scraped and stolen content are removed from the BST area completely. It's sickening to see so many think this sort of thing is acceptable. I don't know which is worse, the people who make those sites or the ones who willingly and knowingly buy them.
