    Google only shows a portion of your backlinks, and almost always never all of them. I agree that yahoo is the way to go. And for those who don't know how to check your backlinks just go to Yahoo and type Site:http://www.yoursite.com. I usually click "except from this domain" than from the drop down menu so it wont show inter-site linking.

    Try to write related articles and submit in ArticleBase, I suggest ArticleBase because I have seen numbers of websites that use articles from articlebase. Many webmasters and website owners use articles for their website or blog from articlebase. It will works.

    Just have patience. SEO is not an instant process. Backlinking is again a process with a slow but steady process. You keep on increasing relevant content for your website and backlinking different pages.

    If you want to get backlinks then use web directories because it takes time to approve but you will find links. In the eye of Google this web directories have good value. So, i suggest you to use web directory submission to make a backlinks for your website.

    quality content, good seo on your website, slow growth, article submissions, directory submissions, and perhaps some slow backlink building elsewhere. 2-3 backlinks per week. that last one was told to me by a good friend but im not sure how true it is. just give it time and don't cheat.. google,yahoo and bing take a bit of time to randomly stumble upon your backlinks

    Actually, to find the backlinks, it's a long process for any website. you should conitnue your process like pr, article, forum posting etc means off page activities.

    Well its a complete process and what matters a lot when you are going for seo is doing it in effective way ,means it should be a quality work not quantity work,it may be because of improper posting or may be your links are not crawled and hence not indexed .Link building is itself an area of technology,their are link building experts who take care of this .

    backlinks are of great help here. Though not all backlinks can add much value to your site. It's important to get more one-way links than reciprocal ones as they are more valuable for search engines. These links should look natural (be embedded into content or surrounded by a brief text description if possible and if necessary). You need to get backlinks from relevant sites of different PR. Don't strive after huge number of backlinks. The number not always means quality
