    What are the techniques to implement to be in good SERP. Apart from meta tags and anchor text what are the other techniques

    we should focus on when thinking of good ranking in search engines from particular keywords.As now a days everyone is

    targeting on niche keywords and less competitor keywords the competition for the race of keywords is also becoming more and

    more complex.i know some basic techniques but, what are the best techniques for good SERP for the keywords.

    You need to analyze the competitors as well , may be top 20 website which listed in particular keyword, that you will know how they perform to optimize their site to be listed. Some of keywords, you need multiple years to achieve the ranking that are really competitive.

    I'd say make on-page and off-page optimization go hand in hand. And also include website design optimization. That's the broad suggestion for you. So advice you to study those 3 points. :)

    My new strategy is to find lesser competitive keywords, then write content based on those keywords which is totally unique then build a few solid backlinks and woaala :).

    First of all have unique, quality content on your site. Also don't have links to other sites that have nothing to do with yours. Aside from that directories, article submissions, and social media bookmarking are good steps to take if you want to get more backlinks and improve the ranking of your site. Then again this is always difficult to do if you are using a competitive keyword, so you must also take that into account.
