Importance of backlinks | nofollow vs dofollow

So today I think someone needs to correct my definition of backlinks and their worth both from nofollow and dofollow links. All I believed was that only dofollow backlinks helped our websites to gain a strong position in search results as the PR and link juice flowed while nofollow links like social bookmarks could only have given you traffic spike for a while.

Today, I had a chat with a scrapebox link blaster and he did show me some great stuff. Most of the links they blasted like 50,000 were all nofollow and included stuff like mass blog commenting, forum posting, profiles and stuff. He showed me websites he blasted with their anchor texts and I was amazed to see them on 1st page, even some one day old websites. Not sure how they escaped sandbox lol. So nofollow links do have an effect in serps too.

So can someone actually put some light on the importance of backlinks in serps differentiating dofollow amd nofollow links.

 

nofollow backlinks will be 'calculated' not executed to calculate PR and thus, does not help any SERP.

and there is no such thing as dofollow. It's nofollow or <null>

no follow link will not create Backlink,it will may simply increase traffic to your site.that's solve

 

Nofollow help to increase SERPS but do follow help to create backlinks. They both are very important in seo.

 

I also surprised to know the reality about the nofollow links, but, i would rather say, whether it is a nofollow link or a dofollow link, it matters. Because, what I experienced, while commenting, though you are trying to create a dofollow link, but, after some days, it will be seen as a nofollow link, but, your link presence as it is. So, it will be counted as a backlink. After all, this will be done for website traffic.

 

I prefer using do follow help me with backlinks and increase traffic to my site.

 

It looks surprised. Nofollow links helps in getting traffic but it doesnt carry much weightage in the aspect of pagerank.

Do follow: Do follow links transfer link juice and traffic to your website. Highly Recommended
No Follow: No follow links only provide traffic.

 

no follow as a backlink has really no value, coz you are telling the crawler not to crawl through the link. it is good for some blogs or social media where there is lots of traffic, where users will come and hit the link.
other wise do foloow are the most preferable ones.

 

Both nofollow and dofollow are important for a back link.

 

Dofollow backlinks passes the pr juice & so always try to get dofollow backlinks for your website

 

Backlinks are extremely important. You should comment on both dofollow and nofollow blogs. If you just comment on dofollow there will be too many and it looks un-natural.

 

no follow will get you traffic, do follow will get you backlinks.

 

Moreover both have their own value.

it depends on search engine.but both is good for seo.

 

They are both important since one serves one goal and the other another goal

 

Without do follow link..there is no value of backlinks..you can only get some clicks by no follow link, but can't get search engine priority.

 

Google Robot or others all search engine robot does not count nofollow link
