    Suggestions please for mounting image files, doesn't need to be free software either.

    In case you dont read it properly, not image files as in photos

    There are many including Daemon Tools or Power Iso.

    Use the one which you like most.

    daemon tools would get my vote also. The lite version works well. Just be sure to untick the boxes that install toolbars/homepage/searchpage if you don't want them.
