Reducing Bounce Rate?

Hi,

My Site has a high bounce rate around 85% shown up in Google Analytics?

Can anyone please tell me what can we do to reduce bounce rate of my website?

 

If it's a blog, catchier headlines that will make people want to read more. And after the articles, have "related posts."
If you have a static home page that's not working for you--I'd say it has to be de-cluttered or get rid of it and go straight to posts/information and catchy headlines...the good stuff.

 

Its all about quality content and obtaining the right kind of traffic. For example if you have a site that sells blue widgets but your traffic wants to buy green widgets then they will leave as soon as they see you are not offering what they want.

how does one have a section on 'related posts'.?

 

There is a wordpress widget that lets you choose recent or related posts.

 

High bounce rate is the result of the sites poor ambiance or not useful content, and thus the users are not getting any useful information. Try to add some unique and useful content in your site.

 

I am agreed with Salikkhan, update your content as soon as possible.

According to G Panda Algorithm, the content on your website must be original, updated and bounce rate not be 100 % .
Moreover, try to have a look on the keywords. Your website is resulting on right keywords or not?
Use some Onsite SEO like title tag, meta tag, Meta Description, etc.

I think , we can reduce the bounce rate up to a limit , All about depends the website web page services , those services we are give to our visitor . set a proper keywords related to the services . when visitor come through with these keywords on the web page , visitor get some thing on the web page in terms of Services . then this is only way to reduces the bounce rate on the website pages .

 

Tell us what type of site it is, it's a blog, it's a niche website, generally it depends on your content and your traffic sources, did you choose the keyword carefully ?

Do concern on your landing page, is the design and content do meet customer need and want?
Is your landing page are welcome those readers?
Is the traffic you get is what you looking for?
High bounce rate mostly is due to they link to other site if they do not find what they want on your landing page.
Check on your website as well which do it bring virus or trojan to your reader ?
Check that is your website to link to other website ?
Or do it have lot of 404 page not found.

 

As far as I know high bounce rate depends on the exit from your pages. So internal links could be a solution. Visitor should go to other pages of your site.

I'm also encountering the same problem. There are some countries wherein I get a 100% bounce rate.
