There is an argument for saying that giving you a link is your reward for posting. To use nofollow as a means of stopping crap posters is like using a shotgun to kill a spider. Effective but a bit OTT. I'm not posting here anywhere as often as I used to, not because I need the link, but because I just feel it's a rude to do that. Still, their forum, their rules. You don't like it, vote with your mouse like me.

No big deal really. You need a healthy mix of dofollow and nofollow in your backlinks. Google still sees the links just doesn't use them for ranking. Did you really think a DP link where there are sometimes hundreds of other links in a single page was really going to boost your rank that much?

DP is is still a great resource, your signature is still a valuable business tool.

I agree with CherryV. It's not a show stopper at all. And I hope it deters some people just putting "hey great post" and such in the forum to jack up the number of posts they have, and not bringing any value to the forum.

Yes, Cherry below approx all posts shows that people come here for only for links. But for me its like a teacher. I learn many things from this Forum and i still do post. I didn't care about nofollow or dofollow. Who knows after some times its again become dofollow.
