Just a quick update, we are currently doing a lot of SEO for our clients. This latest update confirms what we have been saying for years google will be penalising 1 in 8 websites for poor content quality.

So did today's algorithm penalise the sites or the day before's update. As Google says " We change the algorithm almost every day". Why is it one in eight that have poor quality content? How is that figure reached?

Well, the best way to get off from it is create more quality and unique content for your site. Even before the update, google like fresh and unique content, and penalize sites with low and poor quality content (duplicate content). Simply give what google wants from your site, and that is unique content.

As the Google updated the algorithm, specially websites having duplicate content get penalized by Google. Just concentrate on quality and unique content it will not effect your website.

If you have poor content or duplicate content than your website is dead in the eye of Google

Yup, if you have any duplicate content Google is gonna give you the axe. If you have poorly written content, ie. it is not legible and the English is near impossible to read, Google is gonna give you the axe. If your website is of little to no value to consumers and users, Google is going to give you the axe. They are trying to clean up their search results in an attempt to improve the user experience. So if your website does not abide by the new Google criteria see yah later....
