    Impression of a web page in term of Google search Engine is called Page rank .

    Page rank of a web page measure from 0 to 10 .

    A new developed web page having gray PR .
    means it not have any page rank .

    After The some time , when Page cached and Page have good content and information . Then Google give the some page rank to this page . PR may be in Between 0 to 10 .

    Page rank is the rating system devised by Google that assigns a value to a page based on roughly how important the Google considers the page to be!!!Page Rank ranges from 0 to 10. Sites having Page Rank more than 4 are farely relevant sites. So, it's always good to have their link on your websites.
    Page rank is reverse the Alexa Rankings. It's always good to have smaller Alexa rank and greater Page Rank.

    Two ideas mentioned above are pretty much on point.well i would like to say that PageRank is a link analysis algorithm, named after Larry PageGoogle recalculates PageRank scores each time it crawls the Web and rebuilds its index. As Google increases the number of documents in its collection, the initial approximation of PageRank decreases for all documents.

    PageRank is Google’s system for ranking web pages. A page with a higher PageRank is deemed more important.

    in short it's called PR in the seo world and the rating is from 0 - 10. :)
