I've responded to the question as you asked but really these factors all play a role, small and large. The key to great rankings is to try and get all of these factors (and a few more) in place. SEO is a science where a lot of small factors add up to a large benefit.

Google can track through Analytics, the installed Google Toolbars and many other technologies
if users that come to your site instantly hit the back button,
if they stay longer on your site than on your competitors site, if they click through more pages
than normal for this niche etc.

Google basically now lets the 'users vote' through their behavior - if you observer thousands of
people interacting with a site that gives you a much better insight if a site is high quality and relevant than anything else!!

After Google Panda Update, ranking alogirithm has totally changed..., i tried doing SBM (got no result), DS (Got no result), and Link Building (Got result) and again posted some articles (got result) and later point i started Social Media Optimization......, which given me a good result., so i hpe after Google Panda Update 2.2, Now Social Media Optimization is having good weightage in ranking factors....,
