How to get targeted traffic without spending a dime ?

Hi Gina,
Just read your post on DP and wondered if you would be happy to point me to any useful contacts you found on Fivver for creating decent backlinks at low cost.
I have a limited budget so spending say $25 - $30 a month would really suit me perfectly.
Also interested to know how successful you found the backlinking in terms of generating traffic?

I have so far relied only on free traffic. Here's how i do it.

1) Get a good keyword search software - like SENUKE or Microniche Finder
2) The only way to get free traffic is to target the right keywords (preferably the long tailed keywords - low hanging fruits)
3) Keyword search software can help you find such keywords in any niche.
4) Lastly - dig deep into one single niche - educate and master yourself on one particular niche and you will know what people in that niche are likely looking for.

This is how i have done so far but not easy in the beginning - when your website has no authority and therefore no traffic

Alternatively you can also try building smaller sniper sites. I have had limited success with snipers.

 

Try to make use of various forums with your sites signature. And also submit your blog to at least 25 social bookmarking sites. This will get you few traffic.

 

I think there are 2 concepts here:
1. Targeted visitor ... to see that your statistics boost.
2. Buying visitors ... people that actually buy your products.

Have you tried Twitter?

 

are you sure you are targetting the right keywords?

 

i believe you have done through those SEO but did you do it correctly? Make sure you step the correct step to promote your blog and your landing pages.
You may try to use video marketing and email marketing as well since you are not looking for spending money to get traffic. But you stilll need to work hard in your SEO to improve your page rank. If you did not get any result , then i'm sure you step in the wrong step of SEO.

 

Time, persistence, quality content and a whole variety of link buiding methods. Just keep plugging away at it.

 

Something else that I’d like to offer is to use social sites like Facebook and twitter to create interesting headlines that will draw eyeballs back to your site or blog. This will require you to pay attention and speak your clients ideal language. How do you know what their ideal language is? Hang out where they hang out and learn in to their conversations. They’re all over Facebook and they are speaking. If we are paying attention then we have all the information needed to create relevant content.

 

My vote goes for Articles. They are great to get targeted traffic and conversions. The key is to create as many as possible.

Use Facebook as a wuick way to get traffic. Create a group on your chosen subject then search for pages similar to yours, whether that be through subject or demographics of the targetted user. Write on their walls and offer the users something, like; an interesting article or discount code. You will find this will convert sooner or later, but you have to keep doing this to keep getting te likes

 

To really get rolling with more website traffic, you should go to different forums and study everything you can find about SEO

There is a lot of good free information online that can help you to get to the next level. You can do a search on google for (seo tip,website seo). You will find many websites offering free information. You need to review different reports or articles and compare what is showing up in all of them.

Another good search term would be (free SEO tips). You could purchase a course on this subject but you have no way of knowing if the information is up-to-date.

I receive all of my website traffic from the FREE search engines, artices, blogs, videos, classified ads and more..

 

It also depends on your SEO both on and off site.
Do you have a matching domain name?
Do you target a couple of keywords or a lot?
Is your content unique? Some vendors offer articles and if you and whole lot of people all use the same content!!!
Do you have video, images or audio?
Is your content relevant or widely diversified?
Do you add new content regularly?

These are all factors that can have a tremendous effect with SE's.
If you get it wrong you will not rank.
Get it right and it will happen.

I get around 20-30 per day from articles I posted over a year ago
and a trickle from Google for a longtail (not widely searched) keyword.
I only have to add new content every now and then to keep it "fresh" so to speak.

Keep on trying. Hard work gets rewarded.
