Problem with a domain at dynadot

Discussion in 'Domain Names' started by vinith98, Jul 8, 2011.

    Hello,

A few days back I registered a domain at dynadot, it was a dot in. I have uploaded the files etc.The problem I face is that I am not able access it from my home computer, whereas when I tried with other computers it works perfectly fine.

I did clear the cache, even changed my dns with OpenDNS as well as googleDNS but no use. I even reinstalled my browser. Any idea as what the problem maybe ?

    Regards,
    Vinith Almeida

It usually doesn't, but I've come across some whois servers that take over a week to update (for instance). You might want to contact your isp and ask them how often they update their dns cache, in order to confirm.

Just change your ISP. If its works fine than it will be the problem from old isp. Just change the ip-adress of website before changing the ISP.Some times this types of problem takes several months like in singlehop. Have you try to ping your site.

It could also be that the computer (that the site isn't working on) has had it's IP address added to the servers banned list. This can happen if you have to many incorrect log-ins in a short period of time. My server is set to ban IP's at 12 incorrect log-in's within a 12 minute period, I find it works really well.

You will have to ask your hosting company to check to see if your computers IP is temporarily being blocked and have them un-block it.

To find you IP number (on the computer that the site isn't working on) go to whatismyip.com and send that IP number to your host so they can remove it from their ban list.

    I hope that helps!
