    ranking and page rank both are different. pr indicates the importance of your sites in the Google eyes.

    page rank is impotent .but traffic is very important .your site traffic per day 500 then your page rank 3 or4

    Page rank is depend on traffic on your site,visitor,link popularity ,but first we can make ranking in the SERP.

    Pagerank isn't important at all, I don't even bother to check the pagerank of sites anymore. It's clear to us that PR doesn't take much effect and it's simply a ranking given to sites by Google, big wow.

    Pagerank is very important to me as it is an added asset to your domain name. If you have a very high page rank domain name, then you know if worst comes to worst, you could sell it for a decent amount of money.

    Also, pagerank itself may not a lot, however what page rank is actually DEFINING is very important. That is the quality of the backlinks to your domain. It's an easier to follow, and advanced stable ranking of the quality of the backlinks to your domain. We all know, the better the quality of the backlinks to your domain, the better its overall search engine ranking.


    Pagerank itself is not important at all, however what it represents is very important!

    Well, the better question would be "how important is it to google?"

    From my experience I can tell ya, that the Pagerank is not important.

    You just have to get some high quality links that are relevant to your topic and thats all you have to do.

    Of course Google recognizes it, if you just spam high PR links to your website, thats not the natural way of linkbuilding.

    Keep that in mind

    From what I have read, Page Rank is a way of measuring authority in Google's search engine. Other sites pointing to your site will increase your Page Rank. So it can lead to better search results and a more motivated traffic which are both good things.

    Page Rank has nothing to do with general traffic or profitability. There are plenty of low PR sites generating lots of traffic and making money.
