How will you compare Google +1 and Facebook?

As every one is exiceted to join Google +1 and some of us will already got their Google Plus profile. But do you know, how the +1 will work in comparision of Facebook.

Here Our SMO team confuse, some think "Google +1" is similar to "facebook like" and other think it same as "facebook share".

Please share your opinion on Google +1 comparison with Facebook.
Google +1 is very similar to:
    a). Facebook Like
    b). Facebook Share
    c). Can't compare Google +1 with facebook.

Any other help will be very appriciated.

Well, I am little confused here, because you don't need any profiles for Google +1 and rest of the things are about Google +1...

In my opinion, you can't compare +1 with facebook 'like'.
Google +1 can act as a good weapon for your website. This +1 button is for users, when your website is +1'd this means user is giving a stamp of approval to your website and sharing it in his Google network.

The more +1 your website will get the more your SERP rankings will improve. Also, it helps in improving your site's reputation among your users.

In my opinion, the google +1 and facebook 'Like' button should be compared. Although the +1 button of google is like the 'Like' of facebook, its purpose is totally different. Google +1 is just giving a recommendation to your friends if they gonna search for the same niche as what you have voted on +1. For some reason, there are people saying that the +1 of google can help your site ranking or traffic but some didn't believe it can. Either of these, the +1 can some how attract visitors to site one way or the other.

+1 is just another G try to get somehow closer to Facebook. I personally think it will be a big failure but as said above, only time will tell

I agree with you. It's just another try to copy something Facebook already had in a long time. Only difference is, Google will force YOU, yes YOU the webmaster to ad their button because as per Google's own words, it may (might? will?? will for sure???) have an impact on how your site will rank in future SERP's.

A: I agree with ^. I believe that it will make it near to impossible to increase your site's rankings.

I don't think it will work out long term. There are already ways to cheat the system, and as the +1 gets more powerful its only going to attract more and more people trying to cheat the system!

Granted, it's kind of broken right now due to software that spams backlinks, but the +1 will only make things worse.

Plus, what if you decide you don't want the +1? You get penalized for that by Google? I mean, they are allowed to do what they want, but it can hurt them down the road.

The +1 is definitely a like. You can even substitute "like" for the tagline they use for +1.

"Like this article? Give it a +1".

It essentially reads as: "Like this article? LIKE it".

Google and Facebook -The cold war has been already began
    Gmail Vs Facebook mail ...

But i think ,the Googe +1 is impact with Google SERP and Facebook like is impact with Facebook Traffic in future (Now a days facebook likes also plays with Google SERP ,in future it may replaced with Google +1)

There is no comparison of Facebook and Google +. Facebook is for keep in touch with your friends and the Google + is all about SEOs. Everybody knows that Google + should impact on google rankings so lots of SEOs are getting there. Even you can find some SEO's selling google +1 services.

But I dont think that Google + will survive long, because any social network connected with just SEOs and not real people doesn't attract any business persons anymore.

Google +1 is the social answer to Facebook. If anything can overtake Facebook, +1 could, because of Google reach. It will be interesting to watch.
