Little bit confused

    Hey DP members:)

    I'm going to develop ecommerce with my friend in next few months. We live in Finland so we are targeting to finnish keywords and also for google.fi. About backlinking, can we make backlinks to related foreign language sites. Ecommerces niche is fishing and hunting, so can we for example make blog comments in english hunting blogs or do they have to be in finnish? Please help.

    there is no problem contributing in foreign websites, especially if it is english language as it is global. this can help improve your back links and rankings, leading to search engines sending more traffic your way. obviously the comments in blogs have to be in the same language of the website otherwise it would be marked as spam, but in your signature link, definitely use your finnish keyword(s). hope this helps

    it wouldnt hurt your website. if your anchor text in english, it helps on SERP for the English but not the Finland languages. If you want to improve your SERP on Finland words, then you might need anchor text in Finland languages. That's all

    Thanks for your reply :) yea, i will use finnish as anchor text. I have previous exerience in backlinking, but always thought about this thing.

    i recommend going with whatever the website you're getting a backlink from's language is. but mainly attempt to find finnish websites and use achor text, you know.
